(link) as much as it goes against everything in him to spill this stuff to a total stranger, he also literally had just come to the conclusion back home that if he wanted to get anywhere, he was gonna have to start asking around. this guy seems pretty confident about being a veteren of Weird Stuff, maybe they can kill two birds with one stone here. "I mean, sure, if you think it might help, I can tell you. It's just - it didn't happen to me exactly, it's my... best friend. And honestly? I'm starting to think I don't actually know what's really up with that yet."
(𝄞 - in the well, michael bites the bullet and makes a decision to seek help about his squip woes.)

(link) at first, he tenses up when she goes in for the hug. Michael's a tactile person by nature, but for a good couple of seconds that tactile nature is at war with the part of him that's just straight-up uncomfortable around people he doesn't know, ie, most people.
but it's also been a long day and a long week and being on the receiving end of a well-meant gesture like that is resonating hard with both of those things. so, gradually, that tension drains right out of him.

(♫ - michael tries to pull a concerned interrogation on caramia about his memories, and inadvertently ends up making caramia's day and also getting adopted by a lion?? witness this rare positive miscommunication.)

and maybe that was uncalled for, and maybe it came out sharp and ugly, but as he comes more and more back to himself, his priorities are also shifting. now, Michael can be fairly good at brushing stuff off. almost too good at it sometimes. but this - this is absolutely not the sort of thing that can be brushed off.
"Giorno--" and his voice at least sounds more like a voice now, if still a half-octave higher than normal. he rubs both hands up and then back down his face, dislodging his glasses slightly. "That - that actually happened. That happened to you."
